The new single Something New will be released on 18th November through Polydor Records. It is the Official Single for BBC Children In Need 2012 which will help change the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK. The girls will perform the song for the first time on Children In Need on 16th November.

Disc two of the deluxe version of the album will be completely decided by the fans as they will be able to vote for the songs they want included. The list of songs they can choose from spans the entire Girls Aloud catalogue from album tracks through to b-sides. The vote will go live at 12.30pm on Friday 19th at girlsaloud.com/ten and will be live until Sunday Oct 21st at midnight.
A few days later on 31 August, Cole confirmed to BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM that the girls' new single would be released in November, teasing the lyrics "I just wanna dance". Prior to the album's announcement the group's official website, a countdown appeared a week beforehand, fuelling speculation started by Cole in August. The album was officially announced on 19 October 2012, with all five members appearing at a press conference announcing the single to the public.
Girls Aloud reunited again in November 2012 with comeback single Something New - their first release in three years - which was leaked online before being made available early by the band's label Polydor. Released on 18 November as the official charity single for Children in Need, the upbeat, catchy chorus, featuring the lyric "We girls gonna run this show", was a return to form and generated a positive buzz amongst their expectant fanbase.
